
Zone A (Integral Reserve)
It is permitted:
- Access is granted to the managing body's personnel, for service activities, and to scientific personnel, for carrying out authorised research activities.
- The organisation of guided underwater tours, regulated by the Managing Authority, in neighbouring areas, according to pre-established routes, while taking into account the requirements of high environmental protection.
- Rescue and surveillance activities.
- Service activities carried out on behalf of the Managing Authority
It is forbidden:
- Bathing.
- Professional, sport and underwater fishing.
- The transit of vessels except for those belonging to the Marine Protected Area or authorised by it.
Zone B (General Reserve)
Zone A activities are permitted.
They are also allowed:
- The navigation of vessels and boats at low speeds not exceeding 10 knots.
- Guided underwater tours are regulated by the Managing Authority of the Marine Protected Area in accordance with the procedures set out in the Enforcement and Organisation Regulations.
- Bathing.
- Free diving without aqualung in full compliance with the provisions of the Managing Authority and the orders of the Harbour Master's Office.
- Mooring in the appropriate facilities provided by the Managing Authority or compatible with the need to protect the seabed (sandy or rocky seabed).
- Small-scale fishing, with selective gear that does not damage the seabed (fixed gillnets, creels and trammel nets), only to professional fishermen resident in the Municipality of Villasimius on the date Decree No. 60 of 7 February 2012 came into force, in accordance with the procedures set out in the Enforcement and Organisation Regulations.
- Sport fishing only to residents or those equated to them (owners of second homes, berth at the Villasimius Naval League, annual berth at the Villasimius Marina), with the techniques and quantities provided for in the Enforcement and Organisation Regulations.
- Whale-watching activities (cetacean watching) in the manner provided for in the Enforcement and Organisation Regulations.
They are forbidden:
- Spearfishing.
- Scuba diving.
- The use of jet skis or jet skis and similar means, the practice of water skiing and similar water sports.
Zone C (Partial Reserve)
Zone B activities are permitted.
They are also allowed:
- Access to recreational vessels.
- Navigation by vessels and boats at low speeds not exceeding 10 knots. Mooring in the appropriate structures provided by the Managing Authority or compatible with the need to protect the seabed (sandy or rocky seabed).
- Small-scale fishing, with selective gear that does not damage the seabed (fixed gillnets, creels and trammel nets), only to professional fishermen resident in the Municipality of Villasimius on the date Decree No. 60 of 7 February 2012 came into force, in accordance with the procedures set out in the Enforcement and Organisation Regulations.
- Free diving with and/or without aqualung subject to authorisation by the managing body in accordance with the terms of the Regulations for Execution and Organisation.
- Sport fishing is open to residents or those equated to them (owners of second homes, berth at the Villasimius Naval League, annual berth at the Villasimius Marina) and non-residents, with the techniques and quantities provided for in the Enforcement and Organisation Regulations.
- Whale-watching activities (cetacean watching) in the manner provided for in the Enforcement and Organisation Regulations.
They are forbidden:
- Spearfishing
- The use of jet skis or jet skis and similar means, the practice of water skiing and similar water sports.
Zone D (Experimental Reserve)
Zone C activities are permitted.
They are also allowed:
- The navigation of vessels and boats at low speeds not exceeding 20 knots.
They are forbidden:
- Spearfishing.
- The use of jet skis or jet skis and similar means, the practice of water skiing and similar water sports.
